Dear Mrs. Schwartz,
It's been a fantastic year in your class and I will miss having you as a teacher. This year I have learned so much in your class,
and I have enjoyed everyday learning and having fun. Finishing out the year with you and creating this portfolio has been a very bitter sweet task. On one hand I enjoy looking at the progress and results of all the hard work you and I have both put in this year. Then at the same time, as I look at all the final project papers and exemption forms I know I won't be coming to your class again. However, even though I am sad to see the end of this class I know I am ready for the next year because of everything you have taught me and am proud of the progress I have made. During my sophomore year, I learned a lot from you about sentence structure and how to create more elaborate and proper writing pieces through varying my sentences. Also this year I learned about tone and how to make my writing touch the reader personally. Overall, my writing has developed immensely through the use of tone words and sentence structure to make my writing speak. I learned how to express emotions through writing and how to connect with people. Furthermore, even though I have come so far in my writing I know I still have much to work on, but I appreciate and recognize the developments I have had this year. The year seemed to go too fast and I had hoped to learn more about grammar rules and poetry. I enjoyed our poetry warm ups and would love to learn more about that style of writing in the future and continue to work on my grammar. Hopefully next year I will get the chance to explore my poetry skills and further develop my grammar and sentence structure. Once again, I just want to say thank you for an amazing year and making English class fun.
